Learn How to Find Forgiveness
Forgiveness is about finding peace and releasing energy that no longer serves us. It isn’t about getting an apology. It’s about letting go. Forgiving does not mean forgetting. It simply means releasing an energy that no longer serves you. Think of it this way...
Imagine you walk around with a 10 lb. weight on one of your legs every day, and you are constantly angry about it because one day, 3 years ago, you stubbed your toe on this weight when it was sitting on the floor. So just to show it who’s boss, you’ve made it cling to your leg every single day ever since. Now, you probably have gotten used to that weight, and you certainly haven’t ever stubbed your toe on it again because you won’t let it anywhere near your toes. You know where it is at all times. So you just walk around with a limp hauling this thing around all the time because, well, it hurt you and now you have to be in control so that it can "never hurt you again." So after 3 years, it’s just a routine, you carry this thing around, and the weight obviously doesn’t know why anymore - it's just the new normal. You probably don’t remember why either. Maybe you remember that it hurt you, but you don’t really remember the details. You’re just used to it now…
This sounds absolutely crazy, doesn’t it? You wouldn’t actually walk around with a weight strapped to just ONE of your legs, would you? Probably not! So forgiveness is about letting go of something that just doesn’t serve you anymore. It’s about putting the weight down and moving on unburdened. And doesn’t that sound so much easier and better?
With that, I invite you to take full advantage of this Forgiveness Process recording, sometimes referred to as Ho'oponopono, which has evolved from an ancient Hawaiian forgiveness ritual. Ho'oponopono literally translates to "to make right, twice."
Unburden yourself and take this opportunity to give yourself the gift of peace. You'll be happy you did.
